Don’t Take It Personal
In the business world, you are out to make a name for yourself. You’re introducing yourself to new prospects and sharing what you have to offer.
There are some prospects that will tell you “no,” not interested. Or, it could be more than that.
The main issue here is not to take it personal. If you’ve been a spoil brat for most of your “all for me life,” it will be tough for to adjust your emotional state.
It’s not particularly pointed (the word no), directly at you. The prospect may need time to decipher the information that was presented to them.

You must become a master of understanding you and your behaviors to be able to put yourself in a position in understanding people.
This is the best way to overcome many rejections that will stem up from time to time.
Your future customers have so much going on in their lives, no telling what state of mine they will be in once they enter your small business.
We have, according to Brain Facts, everyday, we process about seventy thousand thoughts.
So, as a small business owner, you may have to guide the customer to make to the purchase.
You have to take on the task as a doctor and learn how to read the customer’s screen (body language, eye movements, their words).
Once you get good at this, you can turn those no/s to yes!

Ask Them Why
How you can overcome rejection? By asking them, why? Why not today? Then let them explain. You can possibly solve a situation that you can help them with.
Listening is a major factor after asking the question.

Attract The Right Audience
Let’s say that you were selling a high ticket item and you’ve decided to promote it on your home page on Facebook.
You notice, a week goes by. Two weeks. Three. Four weeks and no one made a purchase? The problem here is that you must attract the right audience. You have to go where the buyers are.
Set yourself up with a product/service page. Search and join different groups who shop online.
Beware: do not spam in those groups. They will ban you. Just a warning.
Once you’re in, introduce yourself. Make comments and and request those to friend you and invite them to your product/service page.
That will put the right audience where they belong for what you have to offer.

Be Patient With Yourself
In this “rush-rush-hurry-up” world we live in. We want to see things done immediately.
The best that you can do as a small business owner is be patient with yourself.
Vendor may say, “we can’t make delivery this week or your car breakdown during an important meeting for you to close a major deal.”
Less stress, less pressure you put on yourself. How to overcome rejection is by following the methods above.

Study Big Brands
Study how big brands overcame their heartaches in your same niche.
What did they do different than most to still climb to the top and remain king/queen of the hill.
One thing I know for sure, regardless what the rejections were, they did not quit. They did not allow anything or anyone to crush their dreams.

This subject taught me a valuable lesson in business and life itself, “DON’T TAKE THINGS SO PERSONAL” because if you do, you can quickly move yourself to a sick bed.
And that’s not a fun place.
