It takes guts to win. To start a small business can be somewhat frightening.

There’s a lot of emotions stirring up inside of you that’s pulling you in many directions.

But, the man or woman knows deep down, that this lifestyle must be pursued. They really know it takes guts to win.

Is it easy. No.

The best of the best of entrepreneurs will agree. It’s a heavy load to carry from the beginning, but your persistence will lighten your work.

You get up everyday dreaming of a better life for you and yours. A bigger house, beautiful cars, exotic vacations, greater schooling for your children. You get the picture.

To win you must step out of your “Comfort Zone”.

Transcending from an employee to a business owner can create an uneasy feeling. You’re moving into a whole different world ahead. As a business owner, you take on more of the responsibility. It all relies on you!

Many of us are (or feel) stuck at a dead in job that really don’t serve our best interest. We work hard to impress the company. Hopefully we receive a hefty raise. (Smile).

There are those who are fresh out of college and university, end up taking unpleasing work that’s not in their profession. How sad. How sad.

Don’t get me misunderstood. Honest work is good. We do what we have to do to put food on the table and pay some bills. I understand that perfectly.

When you step back and take a closer look at your life and it’s not where you desire to be and you see your job is not going to take you to the place that would put a bigger smile on your adorable face and you also know that a business of your own would have a better chance of making and creating more options in you and your family’s life like never before, it’s time to listen to your “gut-feeling”.

It’s time to take action. Right now!

Think about this for a moment: you are putting your business on the map for everyone to see right now and a year or two or three has gone pass.

You have let your boss go because you are know the C.E.O. of your own corporation.

Your business is flourishing. You have a great team around you. You’re happy. Your family’s happy. All bills are paid up in full.

Really think and visualize on that for a moment.

It all begins by taking that first step. All journeys begins in that order. The first step.

Don’t trouble your mind and heart on the “hows” & “whys”. The internal intelligence that’s within you will guide you with the proper instructions and strategies that you will receive while on your journey towards success. Be very patient.

I want to also thank all the small businesses in the world today for stepping up and taking control of your own financial future, strengthening and empowering our economy, employing individuals and providing the best products and services today.

I know it’s tough as a small business owner to grind everyday to meet the daily demands.

Whether it’s:

Meeting Payroll

Inventory

Customer Service

Marketing & Advertising

Work Expansion. Just to name a few.

But once you get control of every aspect of your business, it flows much smoother with time and experience.

Staying on top of your business is the key.

It’s not made for wimps, cry babies, spirit & dream killers, fear filled people. Running a small business can’t be run by cowards. You have to take calculating risk. It takes guts to run it and run it right.

Now, this is not to insult anyone at all. Opening & starting a small business is not for everyone. There are about 350 million people in the U.S.A. and there are only 32 million small businesses so far here.

It takes the right attitude to have a successful small business and it takes guts to win.

Many small business owners do face issues that are so critical that they have to shut down. Some have problems with:

Marketing

Hazardous Violations

Little to no customers

Working Capital

Poor Staffing

Running A Small Business Has Much Room For Growth

There was a small mom & pop store in the community i lived in that sells beauty supplies. From makeup, wigs, nails, clothing, you name it.

I was amazed at all the merchandised there. I asked the owner, “do you have more stores like this around?” He replied, “not at the moment, but I’m looking to expand shortly.”

He also said this to me, “when running a small business of any kind, there’s always room for growth.” Never stop improving. Learn consistently. Growth is necessary for a better life, a better business and a better you. You stop growing, life and everything you are inspire to achieve, dies.

By the way, that owner bought into a bigger store a year or two later with more beauty supplies like never before. He still had his small corner store for sweet memories. He had a great team around him (part family and part locals). They all had one thing in common: They live & breathe success.

To all the small businesses in the world, keep pushing forward. If you have a great team around you, cherish every minute of time. Stay super strong.

Thanks for your time with me today. I hope this blog news was very energetic and inspiring. There’s more to come. Be on the look out.

Much love & bigger peace,

Derrick M.
